Even with all its dependability problems, I’m a loyal Xbox Elite Controller user (it’s the best…when it works). One of the reasons I like it so much is the customizable options in the Accessories App. I’ve had one wish for a while tho.
I primarily play FPS games, but I suffer from minor nerve damage. In short, it’s hard for me to both curl my thumb and wiggle it side to side at the same time (see attached image 1).

This makes strafing movements (left right) with my joysticks a difficult. Which is important for FPS games, side scrollers or any game where the player is on the ground, moving up and down etc. (see attached image 2).

I’d like to be able to change the rotation of the joystick z axis in the XBox Accessories App to align more ergonomically with my thumbs. Seems like a relatively easy option to add since it just requires virtually rotating the x y input sensors around the z axis of the joystick in the App. (see attached image 3).

This also seems like it would make the controller more ergonomic for everyone, not just people with limited thumb mobility like me. It would also allow players adjust their thumb location based on hand size.
I’m hoping to find a way to put this request in for the next Controller App update. I hear rumors of Version III coming?
Does anyone have any ideas on who to contact at Microsoft or Elite Controller manufacturer?
