SIGGRAPH 2022 has announced that it has awarded the gong for Real-Time Live! Best in Show to Horizon Forbidden West‘s Decimal Engine.
Guerrilla Games‘ flashy piece of tech has been a huge success beyond Horizon, as the developer has been happy to distribute the engine to other studios, including Kojima Productions, which used the Decimal Engine to power Death Stranding.

SIGGRAPH 2022 was held in Vancouver during a physical event for the first time in two years due the coronavirus pandemic. The event saw more than 2,400 contributors from 74 countries, including technology innovators from various fields such as AI, data science, analytics, digital art, and more.
Horizon Forbidden West was released in February 2022 for PS5 & PS4, and you can read our full review here. The game reclaimed the top of the UK charts again last week, thanks to the availability of new PS5 bundles.
