Pokemon GO players are always up for a challenge and, luckily, the latest in-game event has some Timed Research for Pokemon trainers to complete.
The new Pokemon GO Bug Out event is adding some new Bug-type Pokemon alongside a host of other creepy-crawly-themed content. This includes the Bug Out Catch Challenge gives players a variety of tasks to do with catching bugs.
Here’s how to complete the Bug Out Catch Challenge in Pokemon GO!

How to Complete the Pokemon GO Bug Out Catch Challenge
To complete the Pokemon GO Bug Out Catch Challenge, you have to finish 3 different Challenge steps. Each of these contains 6 separate tasks.
Here are all of the different tasks you have to complete in every step as well as the rewards you will get for finishing them.
But first, here are all of the wild Pokemon spawns during the Bug Out event. Look out for these while you complete the challenge.
Bug Out Catch Challenge Step 1/3 Tasks & Rewards
Step 1 Completion Rewards
Completing Step 1 of the Pokemon GO Bug Out Catch Challenge will reward you with a Shedinja encounter, 1 Lure Module, and 1000 XP.
Bug Out Catch Challenge Step 2/3 Tasks & Rewards
Step 2 Completion Rewards
Finishing all of the Tasks in Step 2 of the Catch Challenge will give you a Pinsir encounter, 1000 Stardust, and 2500 XP.

Bug Out Catch Challenge Step 3/3 Tasks & Rewards
Step 3 Completion Rewards
Completing the final step of the Pokemon GO Bug Out Catch Challenge rewards you with 50 Scizor Mega Energy and a Scyther encounter.
Make sure you know how to beat Mega Scizor in Pokemon GO Raids if you want to earn more Scizor Mega Energy!
