Decentraland has announced a partnership with Transak payment gateway and Metaverse Architects Studio to bring ATMs into the metaverse. The partnership will allow Decentraland to bring the first-ever fiat to crypto ATM.
Decentraland is one of the most popular virtual worlds in the Web3 space, with more than 200,000 active monthly users.
As of today (August 8th, 2022), Decentraland has onboarded players finally to the virtual ATM.
The Transak Metaverse ATM
The world’s first-ever fiat to crypto ATM in the metaverse is brought to you by Decentraland and Transak. With this, you can easily buy $MANA or any other cryptocurrency in the virtual world.
“This is intended to ease the user experience… Just like an ATM in real life, we wanted to give users a more seamless journey whilst navigating web3,” said the developers.
The idea behind the ATM is to facilitate the users with seamless transactions and more crypto adoption.
“We hope to support the burgeoning Decentraland ecosystem with the tools and technology necessary to facilitate frictionless payments that will increase conversion rates in stores and reduce the knowledge gap for participation in Decentraland,” the developers stated.

Now that the ATM is finally launched on August 8th, 2022 (6 PM CET), the developers have also announced the Airdrop Tower. In the form of Airdrop Hoverboards on the largest Estate in Decentraland, the users will be facilitated with a brand new and unique metaverse experience.
The Airdrop Conference Center will also feature content on how to use the ATM and information about how land owners can install the ATM on their property. They can also monetize the traffic passing through their property.
