not to mention the ammount of dust it will accumulate even if it would work in that spot.
my old pc literally exploded, i was playing a game and i heard a loud pop sound and smelt burning plastic, sure as shit my pc exploded because it was in an okay spot and running perfectly fine for 2 years or so, but all the dust from my room (including smoke) clogged up the fans and didnt get enough cooling and then literally went KABOOM.
you will thank yourself in the long run if you find a nice open spot for it to get as much air as possible, if you need to put it in a spot like that, maybe try getting a fan and keeping the fan blowing into it.
