It was strange to see the waters rise up, leaving you with only the view and your house. Thankfully, the waters have begun to pull away, giving you room to explore outside. In the slowly-draining pools and dream-like neighborhoods outside, there’s lots of debris that hints at the things you’ve forgotten. Plus, I mean, a lot of it would make some really nice furniture for the house. Or a cute decoration. It all hides pieces of who you are, like how many of our own belongings have a story to tell. Not always an extensive one, but our things can say a lot about us.
Every day, a little bit more water draws away, giving you more places to explore and more to find out about yourself. You’d be forgiven if you just get lost in the hazy world around you, though, which is a joy to walk through just to see where it’ll lead next. It would be lonely to have no one to share these vistas with, so it’s nice that you can also compose letters to Darl. Darl is someone you miss and hope to see again, so maybe if you can find the right things in the receding waves, you’ll be able to reconnect with him. In the meantime, it’s good to put your feelings on paper for the man. To collect all the things you want to share with him again.
