Apex Legends is one of the most played battle royale titles out there and players from all around the world flock to this title for its different style of gameplay. Cheating has become pretty prevalent in today’s time with players adding mods, hacking the game or exploiting the game to work in their favour. While this might be fun for the perpetrator, it completely spoils the experience for the other players in the lobby. In recent news, the players have learned about a new banning spree by Apex Legends. This banning of the players was done by Conor Ford aka Hideouts. He is the main security for cheating in Apex Legends and is known to provide justice wherever he sees any issues. Recently he uncovered a new issue that was plaguing the game and a plethora of players were exploiting the issue to get unfair means in the battle.
In a recent Twitter post, Conor Ford has stated that due to exploitation of the Arena Ranked mode and ‘6-manning’ in the game, a wave of 1307 bans have been dealt. Some players have received a ban for 2 weeks and some have received permanent bans, depending on the amount they have abused the system. In numbers, 392 players have been banned on PC, 520 players have been banned on PlayStation, 20 players have been banned on Nintendo Switch and 375 players have been banned on Xbox.
Ban wave of 1307 users has been dealt out for exploiting Arenas Ranked and “6-manning”. Bans range from permanent to 2 weeks depending on abuse amount. Breakdown is as follows:
