The NZ-41 has been dominating the Warzone meta in Season 4, but Raven has implemented a new recoil nerf to balance things out.
This isn’t the first nerf that the NZ-41 has received in Warzone Season 4. Since Warzone Season 4 started, the NZ-41 and Marco 5 SMG have been the clear meta.
It’s rare to not find a squad with at least one player using one of these guns. But Raven Software just released a new nerf that looks to destabilize the NZ-41’s incredible recoil control.

Warzone Season 4 NZ-41 Nerf Details & July 7 Patch Notes
The NZ-41 has received a nerf to its overall Recoil Recovery and a Recoil Control Penalty to one of its most popular attachments.
Warzone Season 4 has been dominated by the no recoil NZ-41 loadout, but with the July 7 patch notes, that may change.
The Recoil Recovery nerfs to the NZ-41 will affect it no matter what attachments the weapon has. The Recoil Control Penalty will nerf the 8mm Klauser 40 Round Mags, which have been a staple to the NZ-41 this season.
Here is a complete breakdown of all the nerfs in the Warzone Season 4 July 7 Patch Notes:
- NZ-41 (VG)
- Recoil Recovery decreased by 20%
- 8mm Klauser 40 Round Mags
- Recoil Control Penalty now increased to -10%
- H4 Blixen (VG)
- Lower Torso Damage Multiplier decreased to 1.0, down from 1.1
But thankfully, the popular Marco 5 Akimbo SMG loadout didn’t receive any nerfs of its own. This means it’s still the most dominant SMG loadout in Warzone Season 4.
