A leak has possibly revealed the release date of the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta and a few more exciting details.
Modern Warfare 2 is setting up to be one of the most significant Call of Duty games in years. It’ll launch alongside a completely reinvented Warzone 2.0.
This isn’t the only MW2 news that’s been leaked this week. Just recently, images of the new maps were revealed due to a huge data mine of Warzone Mobile.

Rumored MW2 Beta Dates
The upcoming Modern Warfare 2 beta start date will take place in September, according to a recent leak.
Players will be able to participate in the open beta on two different weekends. The first weekend will be exclusive to PlayStation players. While the second weekend will be available for all systems.
Here are all the rumored MW2 Beta Dates:
- PlayStation Exclusive Weekend
- Early Access: September 15th – 16th
- Open Beta: September 17th – 19th
- Cross-Play Weekend
- Early Access: September 22nd – 23rd
- Open Beta: September 24th – 26th
Players that unlock early access to the beta and own a PlayStation will have a total of ten days to try out the new MW2 maps!
Furthermore, this isn’t the only Modern Warfare 2 leak this week. Just recently, a huge data mine revealed a few of the Operators we’ll be able to use in Warzone 2.0.
The data mine also revealed the complete list of guns making their way to Moder Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. Despite the long list of weapons, it looks like a few favorites didn’t make the cut.
Modern Warfare 2 will release later this year, but we have yet to see any gameplay regarding its new mode DMZ or Warzone 2.0, so it’ll be interesting to see what information Activision reveals in August.
