Mega Evolve Dark & Dragon-Type Pokemon to Get More Deino Candy
Since the huge Pokemon GO Mega Evolution changes came in a recent update, Mega Pokemon have brought great new bonuses. One of these is earning additional Candy for catching Pokemon of the same type as the one you have Mega Evolved.
As Deino is a Dark/Dragon-type Pokemon, you’ll need to Mega Evolve a Pokemon of that type to get bonus Candy.

The Pokemon GO June Raid Schedule has been a very busy one and for one day only, Zweilous will be another Raid Boss.
Following the end of the Deino Community Day, from 2 PM – 7 PM local time, Zweilous will be appearing in increased difficulty four-star raids. This will save you some Deino Candy as it is the second evolution on the family tree and it will also let you catch more Deinos.
Beating a Zweilous Raid makes Deino appear in a 300m radius around the gym. This gives players a chance to catch more, even after the Community Day is over.
However, there is a major problem with Zweilous Raids that Pokemon GO fans hate! This means that not everyone will be able to take part!
Equip Pancham As Your Buddy to Evolve into Pangoro
Our next tip for Pokemon GO Deino Community Day doesn’t involve Deino at all, but it’s still very handy.
Pancham is a rare Pokemon that is only available in 12km Eggs and evolving it can be a pain. This is because you need to catch 32 Dark-type Pokemon with it as your Buddy to evolve it (plus 50 Pancham Candy).
Therefore, as Deino is a Dark/Dragon-type, the Community Day is the perfect time to complete this challenge if you have a Pancham you want to evolve.

Finally, you can also buy the Field Notes: Deino ticket in the in-game store. This will give you access to a Special Research Story with the opportunity to earn lots of Deino encounters and Candy!
Of course, this will cost you $1, so it’s not for everyone. Don’t worry if you don’t want to buy it though, free-to-play Pokemon trainers will have more than enough opportunities to earn Deino Candy.
