Warzone players are unhappy that Season 4 probably spells the end of Rebirth Island as a new map arrives – Fortune’s Keep.
If you’re a long-time Warzone player, chances are you have fond memories of Rebirth Island. The smaller BR map wasn’t exactly what fans were hoping for when it dropped in December 2020, but it certainly grew on us.
In fact, now that many Warzone players seem to hate Caldera, Rebirth is more popular than ever in the game’s community. Unfortunately, it seems that Activision could be removing it in Season 4.

That said, Rebirth Island’s removal does have its upside, if indeed it is leaving Warzone. Check out our first in-game footage of Rebirth Island’s replacement, Fortune’s Keep!
Warzone Players Don’t Want Rebirth Island to Be Removed
Although players are excited for Fortune’s Keep, many Warzone fans want Rebirth Island to stay put.
Right now, Activision is yet to confirm that Rebirth Island will leave the game when Season 4 arrives. However, it seems extremely likely, due to file size and server population, and more.
Recently, the development team explained why Verdansk can’t come back to Warzone. And judging by that reasoning, we imagine Rebirth won’t come back if it leaves in Season 4.
“I love Rebirth and play it mostly but I’m also very ready for a new map,” Reddit user porkchopespresso writes.

“That’s what people said about Verdansk, RIP,” another user responds.
It’s true, before Verdansk left us, fans were begging for a new map to arrive. But when it finally did, sentiment quickly changed, something we can only hope doesn’t happen again soon.
The good news is that the new update is making big improvements to Caldera too.
And although the old map isn’t returning, one popular Verdansk POI is coming back in Warzone Season 4.
Be sure to enjoy Rebirth Island as much as you can before Season 4 drops on June 22. We don’t know for sure that the map is leaving us just yet, but fans are certainly hoping it sticks around.
