Summer Game Fest, Geoff Keighley’s mid-year games showcase, will be picking up E3’s slack by partnering with more than thirty publishers, such as Xbox, EA, Activision, and more.
Each year the Summer Game Fest seems to grow, and with E3 having been cancelled for 2022 due to COVID-19 concerns and publishers like EA cancelling their standalone shows, 2022 looks to be another promising year for Keighley’s event. Hell, you can watch Summer Game Fest in select IMAX theatres when it airs on June 9th, so it really must be doing well.

It’s certainly an impressive lineup and it excites us to speculate on what may or may not happen, so keep an eye out for our predictions. Could this be the year we finally learn about the rumoured Bloober Team Silent Hill game? Will Devolver Digital leave us with another beautifully crafted word that’ll have us chuckling until its next showcase? Will Netflix tell us that it’s making a Lollipop Chainsaw TV series — it’s never, ever, been mentioned, but it’d be cool, right? Yes, we really want to see Juliette Starling on our screens again.
