Our latest Xbox Gameplay Chart shows Sniper Elite 5 launching straight into the top ten following its addition to Xbox Game Pass, while Elden Ring drops out of the top ten.
The top four of this week’s Xbox Gameplay Chart remains the same, with Fortnite followed by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Apex Legends, and Minecraft, but the rest of the chart shows a fair amount of reshuffling as the top 40 makes room for new additions and reappearances.
Most played games on Xbox (w/e May 29th, 2022)
Destiny 2 jumps straight to fifth place this week following the start of Season of the Haunted, while Sniper Elite 5 — which garnered positive reviews and which launched into Xbox Game Pass just days ago — has already jumped to ninth place, knocking down Rocket League and booting out Roblox. In contrast, Elden Ring has now fallen out of the top ten entirely, seemingly as more players reach the end of the game (if you’re curious, Luke dived into the data to see which Elden Ring ending has been reached by the most players).
Jurassic World Evolution 2 has dropped seven places to 23rd — while an Xbox Game Pass addition initially does wonders for a game on the Xbox Gameplay Chart, that boost doesn’t seem to last long, and it’ll be interesting to see how quickly Jurassic World Evolution 2 will cling on to the top 40. Ubisoft’s free-to-play roller-sports game Roller Champions, meanwhile, launched just days ago, and landed straight in the top 30 at 24th (we’ve got the Roller Champions achievements if you’re yet to check the game out). Dead by Daylight is still at 26th, but it’s likely we’ll see that boosted when the game’s newest chapter, Roots of Dread, arrives in June. Microsoft Flight Simulator has re-joined the chart at 27th — perhaps a result of the free Top Gun: Maverick update. Tunic’s reappearance at 30th, meanwhile, seems to be more likely due to its inclusion in the Xbox Game Pass Weekly Quests. Our last new appearance is Batman: Arkham Knight, which just makes it onto the chart at 40th after it too was included in those Weekly Quests. This week’s disappearances are Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Gang Beasts, The Division 2, Omno, and No Man’s Sky.
Looking ahead, we have launches such as The Quarry and Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout to look forward to, as well as any Xbox Game Pass additions Microsoft might have up its sleeve. What do you think will make it into the top 40 next? Where will Sniper Elite 5 be next week? Let us know what you think in the comments!
