I have a graveyard of about 35 controllers (and their product boxes) I’ve accumulated over the years, all due to the left stick not holding up (since they downgraded the quality of the regular controllers after introducing the elites).
Whatever materials they’re using since the downgrade (around 2015) cannot support the usual daily pressure put on that left stick. You’d think the elites would last longer, but apparently they don’t. I have no idea why pre-2015 controllers were as rugged as they were, but nothing has matched that quality since.
Controllers used to last me years. Now they last about 2-3 months each.
