FAYETTEVILLE — The best viewership for a regular-season faculty softball sport since 2022 occurred this season at Bogle Park.
ESPN introduced Wednesday an April 20 sport between Arkansas and Alabama garnered 570,000 viewers. That game, a 5-1 victory for the Crimson Tide, aired on ESPN and SEC Community concurrently.
The Saturday matchup had an 8 p.m. begin and adopted an NBA playoffs sport between the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks. Newly introduced Arkansas males’s basketball coach John Calipari and Kentucky switch Zvonimir Ivišić have been in attendance for the sport.
It was Alabama’s lone victory of the collection and was marred by an apparent missed call by umpires, when Crimson Tide runners weren’t referred to as for crossing paths. It aided a five-run fifth inning, which was the one inning the Razorbacks allowed runs throughout the collection.
Arkansas received 1-0 (9 innings) and 8-0 (5 innings) to win the collection.
The following-closest sport in viewership this season was the Large 12 Championship between Texas and Oklahoma, which drew 563,000 viewers. These are the 2 highest-seeded groups within the NCAA Event, which begins this week.
The community introduced its broadcasts of faculty softball video games averaged 190,000 viewers, which was up 13% from 2023.
