PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – The Portland Winterhawks suffered a 5-1 defeat to the Moose Jaw Warriors in Recreation 2 of the WHL Championship on Saturday night time.
Frustations boiled over in a sport that was decidedly chippier than Friday’s opener, with the Hawks now dealing with an 0-2 deficit within the best-of-seven collection.
Atley Calvert gave the Warriors the early edge with a rating 5:48 into the primary interval. The Warriors added on within the second, extending their result in 3-0 with targets by Pavel McKenzie on the halfway level and from Brayden Yager with two minutes remaining.
