No. 7 LSU Battles No. 25 UL Lafayette in Closing Midweek Sport – LSU – Louisiana State College Athletics

BATON ROUGE, La.  –  No. 7 LSU (35-10) performs its ultimate midweek contest of the common season at No. 19/25 UL Lafayette (33-15) at 6 p.m. CT Tuesday at Yvette Girouard Discipline at Lamson Park in Lafayette, La.
Tuesday night time’s recreation will stream on ESPN+, with Dan McDonald and Yvette Girouard calling the motion. Patrick Wright, the Voice of LSU Softball, shall be on 107.3 FM in Baton Rouge and the LSU Sports activities Radio Community. 
LSU is 13-6 this season in opposition to top-25 applications after a 1-2 weekend at No. 4 Tennessee. The Tigers and Ragin’ Cajuns meet for the second time this season. LSU defeated ULL 4-2 final Tuesday at Tiger Park and are 26-15 within the all-time sequence.

Outfielder Ciara Briggs has a .358 batting common behind a team-high 54 hits (No. 5 within the SEC) and paces the group with 37 runs (No. 10 within the SEC) and 11 stolen bases. Outfielders McKenzie Redoutey and Ali Newland observe with averages of .344 and .338, respectively. Newland is second on the group with 47 hits and 34 RBIs and has a team-high eight house runs.  
Infielder Raeleen Gutierrez has a .315 common on the plate with 41 hits, together with a team-high 20 extra-base hits. Shortstop Taylor Pleasants leads LSU with 36 RBIs and 24 walks. She has 36 hits and 7 house runs this season.
The Ragin’ Cajuns proceed dominating the Solar Belt Convention after sweeping Southern Miss in a three-game sequence in Lafayette. ULL boasts a 17-3 report at house and is on a 12-game house successful streak. The Ragin’ Cajuns have a .318 batting common on 409 hits and a 2.70 ERA with 218 strikeouts.  
Outfielder Mihyia Davis leads ULL with a .422 batting common, 70 hits, and 18 stolen bases this season. Infielder Brooke Ellestad is batting .364 and has a team-high 37 RBIs on 48 hits.
Pitcher Sam Landry has a report of 17- 7 with a 2.23 ERA, 129 strikeouts in 141.1 innings, 5 shutouts, and 9 full video games this season.
