Campbell County defeated Newport 43-40 Thursday evening in a UK HealthCare Boys’ Basketball Candy 16 first spherical recreation at Rupp Area.
Campbell County (27-6) performs Harlan County (32-4) in a state quarterfinal at 6 p.m. Friday at Rupp Area. Campbell County is making its eighth Candy 16 look and its first journey since being a 2019 state semifinalist.
