Wanting again: The Sooners heated up final week, ripping off a four-game win streak. OU defeated Wichita State 5-3 in its Tuesday midweek sport, then swept its Large 12 opening collection with Central Florida. Oklahoma received Saturday’s doubleheader video games towards the Knights 4-3 and 11-3, then run-ruled UCF 14-2 in seven innings on Sunday.
Wanting forward: Oklahoma hosts Oklahoma State for a midweek Bedlam battle at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, then heads to UT-Arlington Wednesday for a 6 p.m. first pitch. The Sooners will keep south of the Purple River over the weekend for a three-game collection at TCU. OU performs the Horned Frogs at 6:30 p.m. Friday, 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
Notable: With final week’s surge, OU jumped from 62nd to tenth nationally in RPI.
