MOSCOW, Idaho — The Montana males’s basketball group obtained again within the win column Saturday with an 80-57 victory at Idaho.
The Griz wasted little time taking management, leaping out to a 21-8 lead within the first eight minutes. They led by as many as 19 factors within the first half and took a 41-29 benefit into the break.
Montana began the second half on a 9-0 run — Dischon Thomas scoring seven factors within the stretch — to go up 50-29 and primarily put the sport away early. Idaho would not get nearer than 14 the remainder of the best way.
Aanen Moody led the Griz with 22 factors on 9-of-15 taking pictures. Thomas added 20 factors, whereas Te’Jon Sawyer scored 14 and Chase Henderson had 10.
As a group, the Griz shot 27 of 51 from the ground and 9 of 18 from 3-point vary. Moody was 4 of 5 on 3s, Thomas was 2 of 5, Josh Vazquez 2 of three and Henderson 1 of three.
Idaho was led by EJ Neal with 15 factors and Quinn Denker with 13.
Montana improves to 20-10 general and 11-6 in Large Sky Convention play with one regular-season recreation remaining, whereas Idaho falls to 11-19 general and 5-12 within the Large Sky.
The Griz shut their common season at residence Monday in opposition to Idaho State. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
