The Pokémon Company International has announced that the Darkrai Mystery Gift distribution event is now live in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl on Nintendo Switch.
To befriend Darkrai, you will first need to obtain the Member Card item using the in-game Mystery Gift feature – which you have until Saturday 30th April 2022 to receive.
After the Member Card is in your possession, once you have entered the Sinnoh region’s Hall of Fame and obtained the National Pokédex you must then travel to Newmoon Island.
You can get to Newmoon Island by resting at the Harbor Inn in Canalave City, which is north of the Pokémon Center. Inside, you will be greeted by a strange man after which you can choose to sleep in a nearby bed. You will wake up on Newmoon Island, on which you will have the chance to encounter Darkrai within a forest.
The Darkrai that you can catch is Level 50 and knows the moves Double Team, Foul Play, Hypnosis and Sucker Punch.
How To Get The Member Card In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl
To claim the Member Card as a Mystery Gift in-game, you can follow these steps:
- Launch your Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Pokémon Shining Pearl game;
- Press the X Button;
- Select Mystery Gift;
- Select Get via Internet;
- Select the Member Card Gift;
- Watch as your Mystery Gift arrives!
- Remember to save your game!
