If you’ve been wading through the bayou to collect all of the Hunt: Showdown achievements, then you might be pleased to know that a fresh event is now live. Titled Traitor’s Moon: The Dark is Rising, players will be tasked with looting corpses, smashing effigies, completing challenges, and solving clues, all in the name of sweet, sweet rewards, like stackable boosters. Alongside new stories about a plan to manipulate the bayou’s corruption, you’ll also have early access to four weapons that will permanently join the game later this year: Berthier Riposte, Caldwell Model 92, Scottfield Brawler, and the Winfied Model 93.
During the event, which runs from today, March 24th, until April 14th, the Hunt: Showdown in-game store will be offering a ‘Traitor’s Moon Event Bundle’ with a 15% discount, which contains the new Cicada legendary choke bomb, 1,000 event points, and a 24-hour Chary’s Contract. As a new loyalty bonus, players that unlock all of the event rewards, purchase an event-related item from the in-game store, and the new Meridian Turncoat DLC, will be given 800 blood bonds.
The Meridian Turncoat DLC can be purchased from the Xbox Store for $9.99/€9.99/£9.99 and introduces a new legendary hunter: the Turncoat. After being falsely accused of treason for being the sole survivor of an ambush, the Turncoat has a mind set on revenge. That will be beneficial to you, because you’ll be able to use Ambush and Crossfire, the Turncoat’s two legendary Dolch 96 pistols, as well as a new ammo crate called ‘Red Cask.’
