The Philadelphia Eagles are heading to Brazil
The Philadelphia Eagles will play in Brazil throughout the opening week of subsequent season as South America hosts its first NFL common season sport.
In addition to three games in London and one in Munich in 2024, the league introduced in December that it could be breaking new floor by taking one other to the Corinthians Area in Sao Paulo.
The Eagles, final 12 months’s Tremendous Bowl runners-up, have been confirmed because the designated staff for the historic event in Brazil in September.
The NFL has confirmed that the sport could be performed on the Friday evening of opening weekend – the primary time a fixture has been in that slot since 1970.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell stated: “This landmark first worldwide sport in South America demonstrates the continued enlargement of our international footprint.
“Enjoying on Friday evening of week one is a singular approach to spotlight our worldwide progress and ambitions.”
The opponent, like with the opposite Worldwide Video games, will probably be introduced shortly earlier than the 2024 schedule launch within the spring.
A current vote by groups means the NFL may have the flexibility to schedule as much as eight worldwide video games per season from 2025.
