Cody – The Wyoming Recreation and Fish Division welcomes Austin Wieseler to the Cody Area. Wieseler will function the Cody regional wildlife biologist.
As a regional biologist, Wieseler will work collaboratively with Recreation and Fish district biologists throughout the Cody Area. The Cody Area stretches from the Montana state line south to the Owl Creek Mountains, and is flanked to the east by the Bighorn Mountains and by Yellowstone Nationwide Park to the west. His main tasks embody regional illness monitoring and administration, wildlife knowledge assortment and evaluation, in addition to working collaboratively with stakeholders to conduct analysis and decrease the impression of growth tasks on wildlife throughout the area.
Wieseler holds a Bachelor of Science diploma and a Grasp of Science diploma in wildlife and fisheries sciences from South Dakota State College. Beforehand, he served as a wildlife well being biologist for Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks, as a biologist in South Dakota and as a wildlife technician for Recreation and Fish within the Pinedale Area.
Wieseler stated he’s wanting ahead to the range of job duties that include carrying a pink shirt. “No two days are alike, and having the chance to be within the subject interacting with the folks keen about wildlife is a side of the job I totally get pleasure from.”
