I’m so excited for Tremendous Bowl LVIII: San Francisco 49ers and Kansas Metropolis Chiefs. It’s at all times an enormous occasion on the social calendar, and harmful on the roads.
In 2016, stories from Vehicle Membership of Southern California (Auto Membership) observed drunken driving crashes on Tremendous Bowl Sunday had been 75% greater than on comparable Sundays in January and February. Data from 2002 to 2011 present that 642 alcohol associated crashes occurred on Tremendous Bowl Sunday. That was 276 extra alcohol-related crashes over 10 years than there would have been on typical Sundays.
“Auto Membership” observed 28 extra alcohol-related crashes occur on this date in California yearly. This should change. Don’t let celebrating the sport foul your life.
A drunken driver hit me in 1992 when 16, and I endure day by day. Drunken driving should cease.
Taking State Route 149 to go to and from a celebration? Don’t drive drunk. Your accountable alternative may save lives. If sober, give rides to those that aren’t. Please be certain your designated driver is sober, not simply much less intoxicated than you. Sober rides are at all times obtainable: taxis, Uber, and and so forth.
One crew wins, however everybody can with a sober driver. It takes all of us.
