The latest Fortnite season has been a blast, and it\u2019s more than catapulted off the success of Fortnite OG. One aspect may be new to players, and these are the Hot Spots around the map. We\u2019re going to dive into what exactly these are. <\/p>\n

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1: What is a Hot Spot? <\/h2>\n

Fortnite has added numerous ways to make the map more interactive over the years, whether in the form of rifts, NPCs, etc. Hot Spots are another way, as players will want to seek these out as soon as the match starts.<\/p>\n

Essentially, Hot Spots are named locations around the map indicated via a gold name bar, and players can spot these when they load into the battle bus each game. Hot Spots will have increased loot rarity throughout the region, alongside drones flying around the POI, which players can shoot down.<\/p>\n

When these crash and break apart, you\u2019ll likely loot some form of consumable alongside a decent weapon, so it\u2019s worth the effort. There will be around ten or so of these flying around the map, and if you have the audio-visual indicator, you\u2019ll easily be able to spot all of them. <\/p>\n
