Epic Games has revealed the latest game made available on the Epic Games Store for free for a day to celebrate the Holiday Sale, and it’s Ghostrunner<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The game co-developed by\u00a0One More Level and 3D Realms\/Slipgate Ironworks is now available for 24 hours at the rather affordable price of Zero dollars.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It’ll be replaced by another tomorrow at the same hour, albeit we don’t know what’s coming just yet. At that point, Ghostrunner<\/em> will also go back to its $29.99 price.<\/p>\n

The Epic Games Store has been giving away daily free games for quite a while during the Holidays, for a total of 17 free games. We still have a few to go before the party ends.<\/p>\n

The list included\u00a0Destiny 2 Legacy Collection<\/em>,\u00a0DNF Duel<\/em>,\u00a0Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition<\/em>,\u00a0Ghostwire Tokyo<\/em>,\u00a0Cat Quest,\u00a0Snakebird Complete,\u00a0<\/em>and more.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, like yesterday’s\u00a0Saints Row,\u00a0<\/em>today’s freebie feels bittersweet, as 3D Realms and Slipgate Ironworks have been affected by layoffs as part of Embracer’s controversial downsizing operation that has hit many of the group’s subsidiaries.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ghostrunner<\/em> is an action platformer originally released in 2020 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It was then ported to Nintendo Switch shortly after and to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2021.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The game recently received a sequel, simply named\u00a0Ghostrunner 2,\u00a0<\/em>released for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S just a couple of months ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We have a review for that one as well, and our Tyler Chancey awarded the game with an 8.5 out of 10. Of course, if you want the sequel you’ll have to pay for it since only the first game is free at the moment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
