Today’s Microsoft Flight Simulator<\/em> news is perfectly in line with the spirit of the Holidays because every add-on mentioned here is or is going to be free.<\/p>\n

We start with an unexpected announcement from Aviotek Software. The developer has been working for quite a while on a highly detailed rendition of Frankfurt Airport (EDDF) in Germany.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now we learn that it’s going to be free. This is pretty big news, as getting a professionally made high-detail major international hub at the very affordable cost of zero dollars is very uncommon outside of releases sponsored directly by Microsoft.<\/p>\n

The airport is going to be released in about a month as the developer adds further details, including the jetways, but public beta testing will start at the beginning of January.\u00a0<\/p>\n
