Gwent<\/strong> was the first card game I ever found myself addicted to, and it remains\u00a0my guilty pleasure to this day. I first enjoyed the game in The Witcher 3, playing amid\u00a0an\u00a0inn\u2019s visitors, before testing Gwent\u2019s PvP waters in 2020. It\u2019s challenging, fun, and oh-so-rewarding when you win. CD Projekt Red has just released its final update to the free-to-play Witcher spin-off,\u00a0placing the game\u2019s future in our hands.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s right, the future of\u00a0Gwent is up to us. CD Projekt Red begins its post revealing the Witcher-inspired\u00a0card game\u2018s final update, saying, \u201cTomorrow we are releasing Update 11.10, which will include the final card changes made by us.\u201d The developer continues, saying\u00a0that the new patch means \u201cthat moving forward, you will have control over all the changes made to the cards of\u00a0Gwent.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the advent of Gwentfinity,\u201d CD Projekt writes, \u201cwe are leaving the future balance of Gwent\u00a0in your hands.\u201d If you don\u2019t know what the dev means with Gwentfinity, it describes the game\u2019s ongoing support after its final update. Gwent will stay online as long as players continue\u00a0to play, and both\u00a0events and in-game seasons\u00a0will occur as usual, too.\u00a0CD Projekt Red\u2019s officially organized\u00a0tournaments will no longer exist, though.<\/p>\n
