The Hawkeyes have intercepted five passes over their last two games, picking off Michigan State three times on Sept. 30 and Purdue twice on Oct. 7. The three INT game was the first for Iowa since 2021 against Northwestern.
The Hawkeyes have allowed 14 or fewer points in 12 of their last 19 games.
Inaugurated in 2004, the Heartland Trophy goes to the winner of the football battle between Iowa and Wisconsin. The trophy was designed and crafted by artist and former Iowa football player Frank Strub.
