Today Bethesda released a small update for Starfield and provided more information on what we can expect going forward, and there’s some pretty interesting stuff coming.<\/p>\n

The update, numbered 1.7.29 and aimed at improving stability and fixing a few quest issues, is just the tip of the iceberg (but you can still read the patch notes below, from the official announcement).<\/p>\n

PERFORMANCE AND STABILITY<\/p>\n

• Various stability and performance improvements to reduce crashes and improve framerate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  • All That Money Can Buy<\/strong>: Fixed an issue where player activity could result in a quest blocker.<\/li>\n
  • Into the Unknown<\/strong>: Fixed an issue that could prevent the quest from appearing after the game is completed.<\/li>\n
  • Shadows in Neon<\/strong>: Fixed an issue where player activity could result in a quest blocker.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    Yet, this is far from all that Bethesda has up its sleeve. The developer plans to support the game for many years, and regular updates are coming soon, including the following.<\/p>\n

    • HDR Calibration Menu<\/li>\n
    • FOV Slider<\/li>\n
    • Nvidia DLSS Support (PC)<\/li>\n

    • Eat button for food!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n

      On top of that, we learn that full-fledged mod support will come in early 2024. Like with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim <\/em>and Fallout 4<\/em>, mods will be availa ble for both the PC nd Xbox Series X|S versions.<\/p>\n

      Starfield\u00a0<\/em>is available now for PC (via Steam and Windows Store), Xbox Series X|S,\u00a0and Game Pass. It achieved\u00a01 million concurrent players\u00a0on day one, and\u00a0it already surpassed 6 million cumulative players.<\/p>\n
