Today Microsoft announced the Xbox Mastercard credit card, promising perks dedicated to gamers using it for their purchases.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to the announcement, the card issued by Barclays requires no annual fees and will be available exclusively to Xbox Insiders in the United States on September 21. The rest of the Xbox playerbase will be able to get it later in 2024.<\/p>\n

By making purchases with the card, you’ll be able to earn points that can be redeemed on games and add-ons from Microsoft.\u00a0<\/p>\n

You can earn a point for every $1 spent with the card, and certain purchases\u00a0 earn you more points.<\/p>\n

Eligible products on the Microsoft Store earn you 5x points. Eligivle streaming services like Netflix and Disney+ earn you triple points. Dining delivery services (since we gotta rock these gamer stereotypes) like Grubhub and DoorDash earn you double points.<\/p>\n

A number of additional perks are also available to members.<\/p>\n

• A bonus of 5,000 card points (a $50 value) after their first purchase.\u00a0<\/li>\n
• Three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for new Game Pass members after their first purchase. If they\u2019re already a Game Pass member, they can easily gift it to a friend to play together.\u00a0<\/li>\n
• Choice of one of five iconic designs for their card, with the option of personalizing it with their gamertag.\u00a0<\/li>\n
• Flexibility of use with contactless payments and digital wallets.\u00a0<\/li>\n
• Free online access to cardmembers\u2019 FICO Credit Score, which allows users to keep an eye on their credit score and receive alerts when their score has changed.\u00a0<\/li>\n
• $0 Fraud Liability protection, so cardmembers are not responsible for charges they didn\u2019t authorize.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
