Only the most hardcore Pokemon Trainers stand a chance of beating these Raids, and that\u2019s never been more true than with the Mewtwo Raid. I can\u2019t sugarcoat it; this fight is borderline unfair! Consider yourself warned, and let me show you how to beat the Mewtwo Tera Raid in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

How to beat Mewtwo Tera Raid in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n

Most Raids can be tackled with several Pokemon, but for this Raid, there\u2019s one obvious choice. Mew. Mew gets a huge stat boost in this battle and is absolutely the best counter to Mewtwo. If you\u2019ve not got Mew yet, don\u2019t despair; we have a guide on how to get it. <\/span>I\u2019ll explain the build in just a moment, but here\u2019s what Mewtwo brings to the table:<\/span><\/p>\n

  To make matters worse, Mewtwo will Rest when you break its Terastalize phase. You must stop this<\/strong> if you want to win the battle. <\/span>Here\u2019s the Moveset we recommend for Mew:<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Electric Terrain<\/li>\n
  • Swords Dance<\/li>\n
  • Leech Life<\/li>\n
  • Struggle Bug<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Struggle Bug is a great move that deals damage and lowers the opponent\u2019s Special Attack. Use this and Swords Dance at the start of the fight. Rotate through both of these abilities until you can Terastalize.<\/p>\n

    Use Sword Dance to maximize your Attack while Terastalized. If Mewtwo uses Calm Mind, counter with Struggle Bug. After Sword Dance has been used three times, start spamming Leech Life. Keep an eye on Mewtwo\u2019s shield, as you must use Electric Terrain just before it breaks<\/strong>. Mewtwo will Rest when it breaks but cannot do so with Electric Terrain active. If you make it to this point, you\u2019re on the final straight and should be able to spam Leech Life to finish.<\/p>\n

    Even if everything goes your way, the time limit is extremely tight, so don\u2019t expect to complete the Raid on your first go. Make sure you Cheer during the early phases of the battle if Mew is about to get knocked out.<\/p>\n

    Can I beat the Mewtwo Tera Raid Solo in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?<\/h3>\n

    Every Raid we\u2019ve covered thus far can be completed solo. Even the latest Rillaboom Raid could be done alone with the Pokemon we recommended. Unfortunately, Mewtwo is such an oppressive opponent that it must be done with a team. You could have the perfect Mew and all the luck in Paldea, but Mewtwo is just that powerful. Unless you\u2019re queuing with Trainers you know, expect to lose this event a few times. Be patient, hope for decent teammates, and Mewtwo will be yours before you know it.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
