The Pok\u00e9mon Company International\u00a0has confirmed a release date for the\u00a0Pok\u00e9mon Trading Card Game (TCG): Scarlet and Violet \u2013 Paradox Rift<\/strong>\u00a0expansion.<\/p>\n

With ferocious attacks, Ancient Pok\u00e9mon like Roaring Moon ex and Sandy Shocks ex appear alongside artificial Future Pok\u00e9mon like Iron Valiant ex and Iron Hands ex,\u201d the expansion\u2019s pitch reads.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeanwhile, Garchomp ex, Mewtwo ex and others Terastallize to gain new types, as Armarouge ex, Gholdengo ex, and more Pok\u00e9mon ex join the fray. Adventure awaits as timelines collide in the Pok\u00e9mon TCG: Scarlet and Violet \u2013 Paradox Rift expansion!\u201d<\/p>\n

As revealed at the 2023 Pok\u00e9mon World Championships, this expansion will introduce Ancient and Future Pok\u00e9mon and Trainer cards.<\/p>\n

\u201cEmbodying toughness and power, Ancient Pok\u00e9mon tend to have direct attacks that do a lot of damage, and they\u2019re more difficult to Knock Out,\u201d The Pok\u00e9mon Company International explained in a press release. \u201cHarnessing speed and technique, Future Pok\u00e9mon tend to have Abilities and attacks with extra effects that allow for clever maneuvers and crafty strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alongside these, you can expect Ancient Trainer cards that tend to assist Ancient Pok\u00e9mon, whereas Future Trainer cards will assist Future Pok\u00e9mon. Technical Machines will also return in this upcoming expansion, appearing as new Pok\u00e9mon Tool cards that allow access to a new attack while attached.<\/p>\n

The expansion will include 13 Pok\u00e9mon ex, seven Tera Pok\u00e9mon ex, 34 illustration rare Pok\u00e9mon, 15 special illustration rare Pok\u00e9mon and Supporter cards, 28 ultra rare full-art etched Pok\u00e9mon ex and Supporter cards and seven hyper rare gold etched cards.<\/p>\n

Scarlet and Violet \u2013 Paradox Rift will be available in booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes and special collections at Pok\u00e9mon Center online and participating retailers worldwide. Equipped with two additional booster packs and one additional illustration rare style promo card featuring the Pok\u00e9mon Center logo, the Scarlet and Violet \u2013 Paradox Rift Pok\u00e9mon Center Elite Trainer Box is available for preorder now for Trainers in the US, Canada and UK alongside other products from the expansion.<\/p>\n

In addition, ahead of the release of the tabletop version, Trainers will be able to play with Scarlet and Violet \u2013 Paradox Rift digitally via the Pok\u00e9mon TCG Live app for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows devices on 2 November 2023.<\/p>\n
