The land of Hyrule is enormous, especially as seen in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom<\/em>. You\u2019ll find peaks, valleys, shrines, plateaus, castles and towns. They all have names, and a lot of them appeared previously in Breath of the Wild<\/em>. This may leave you to wonder which places are worth visiting in the sequel. Tears of the Kingdom<\/em> \u2013 what to do at Gut Check Rock<\/h2>\n

When you come across Gut Check Rock<\/strong>, located in Hyrule\u2019s northern reaches, it\u2019s natural to assume there must be some important task you are supposed to complete in its vicinity. However, the location offers more as a landmark than it does as a destination.<\/p>\n

Gut Check Rock doesn\u2019t include any major activities you must complete.<\/strong> The bolded map label suggests otherwise, but that\u2019s because the area played a larger role in Breath of the Wild<\/em>. In the former game, you needed to quickly scale the rock while collecting rupees. If you made it to the top within the permitted time, you revealed a shrine.<\/p>\n

In this game, Gut Check Rock is located southwest of Kimayat Shrine<\/strong>, which is the only local shrine. There\u2019s no sign of the Goron who issued a challenge in the previous game. However, you can earn a reward for climbing to the top. Just use the Ultrahand<\/strong> ability to unearth a mostly buried treasure chest that contains a Silver Rupee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Also in this area, you should notice three signs. If you know how to solve the Red Arrow puzzles, you should figure out the point the three signs indicate, on top of one of the high rocks. Check the flower petals you find there to obtain a Korok Seed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With that, you\u2019re done with Gut Check Rock. However, don\u2019t forget to explore the surrounding areas. There are hot springs for healing, along with a few enemies you can farm to obtain components for various armor upgrades.<\/p>\n
