If you\u2019re looking to get your hands on the iconic Majora\u2019s Mask in The Legend of Zelda: TOTK, here\u2019s how it\u2019s done!<\/p>\n
One of the best things that Tears of the Kingdom does well is pay homage to past Zelda titles. Although both BOTW and TOTK appear to be in their own timeline, the games both reference the franchise\u2019s long and iconic past.<\/p>\n
Those who remember the glory days of the Nintendo GameCube Zelda titles will be delighted to see more than a few references to Majora\u2019s Mask hiding within the new release.<\/p>\n
And Link can even get his hands on Majora\u2019s Mask itself, but only the most talented TOTK players will be able to acquire it.<\/p>\nZelda TOTK: How to Get Majora\u2019s Mask<\/h2>\n To get Majora\u2019s Mask in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players must complete the Floating Coliseum challenge in The Depths<\/strong>.<\/p>\nThe Floating Coliseum is located to the north of the Great Abandoned Central Mine. Its coordinates are as follows: (-1148, -1307, -0447)<\/strong>.<\/p>\nIf you\u2019re yet to visit the location, your nearest entry point is the Great Plateau North Chasm. From there, travel northwest until you\u2019re directly below the Coliseum Ruins that appear on the surface.<\/p>\n
After defeating all 5 Lynels, the Floating Coliseum\u2019s chest will unlock \u2013 with Majora\u2019s Mask waiting inside.<\/p>\nWe recommend coming prepared with more than a few Sundelion-filled dishes to restore Gloom damage. You\u2019ll also need a strong weapon and a good shield as you\u2019re in for one of the game\u2019s toughest gauntlets.<\/p>\n
Thankfully, you won\u2019t have to learn to fight more than one enemy type, as what awaits you are a series of Lynel enemies. Here\u2019s the order you\u2019ll need to face each Lynel:<\/p>\n
\nRed Lynel<\/li>\n Blue-Maned Lynel<\/li>\n White-Maned Lynel<\/li>\n Silver Lynel<\/li>\n Armored Silver Lynel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nGeneral Tips for Beating Lynels<\/strong><\/p>\n\nThe best way to deal damage to a Lynel is to stun it with a headshot from a bow. Link is then able to walk up to the enemy and press A to mount it.\n\nWhen mounted, Link can swing his weapon repeatedly to deal massive damage to the enemy \u2013 and his weapon won\u2019t take any durability damage during the attack chain.<\/li>\n What\u2019s more, when being knocked from the creature\u2019s back, you can slow down time by aiming your bow, dealing even more damage to the monster.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\nUsing a bow that fires 3 or 5 arrows makes it easier to get a headshot. However, don\u2019t fire unless you have a suitable opportunity as Lynels can close the gap in seconds thanks to their speed!<\/li>\n Having Tulin, the Sage of Wind, summoned will often lead to your ally getting a headshot on the Lynel for you.<\/li>\n Also, fusing Keese Eyeballs to your arrows will cause them to home in, and automatically strike the Lynel\u2019s head!<\/li>\n Most Lynel attacks can be parried (hold L and press A) with a little practice. After parrying, Link has just enough time to fire off an arrow into the Lynel\u2019s face.<\/li>\n When a Lynel begins its fireball attack animation, run to the side and (if you\u2019re close enough) towards the monster. You\u2019ll be able to get in plenty of hits in the back legs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\nWhen in doubt, simply block an attack. Lynels deal massive shield damage but you\u2019re better off blocking than taking a single hit, especially with the creatures also dealing Gloom damage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nHow to Beat the Red Lynel in TOTK<\/h3>\n The Red Lynel is the easiest of the enemies you\u2019ll face in the Floating Colisseum so if you\u2019re having trouble with this one be sure to prepare more thoroughly and then come back. <\/p>\n
However, the practice you get against the Red Lynel will be invaluable as all Lynels fight relatively similarly.<\/p>\n
The Red Lynel can use any of the following attacks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\nAttack<\/td>\n Description<\/td>\n How to Counter<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \nFireball Blast<\/td>\n Lynel charges up and spits 3 balls of fire.<\/td>\n Run to the side and toward the Lynel to get in some quick strikes.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \nCharge<\/td>\n Lynel puts its paws to the ground and charges Link.<\/td>\n Parry or jump to the side and fire arrows as it passes.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \nSword Swing<\/td>\n Lynel gallops towards Link and takes a swing at him with its weapon.<\/td>\n Parry before headshotting with a bow.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \nCleave<\/td>\n Lynel stands on its hind legs before swiping its blade in an arc forward.<\/td>\n Parry or jump back for a Flurry Rush.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/figure>\nOnce Link defeats each Lynel, TOTK will autosave, so you won\u2019t have to do it twice!<\/p>\n
Red Lynel Loot:<\/strong><\/p>\n\nLynel Mace Horn<\/li>\n Lynel Saber Horn<\/li>\n Soldier\u2019s Broadsword<\/li>\n Lynel Shield<\/li>\n Lynel Bow<\/li>\n Large Crystallized Charge<\/li>\n Lynel Guts<\/li>\n Lynel Hooves<\/li>\n Arrows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nHow to Beat the Blue-Maned Lynel in TOTK<\/h3>\n The Blue-Maned Lynel is a step up from the Red Lynel, but the process to beat it is very much the same. The first one is slightly easier as the second one starts off armored.<\/p>\n

Note: The Coliseum can be completed once every Blood Moon, but players will only be able to unlock the Majora\u2019s Mask reward the first time around.<\/p>\nWhat Does Majora\u2019s Mask Do in Zelda: TOTK?<\/h2>\n Majora\u2019s Mask only offers 1 Defense in Tears of the Kingdom, but the armor has another interesting effect. When wearing Majora\u2019s Mask, most enemies won\u2019t attack Link unless he attacks them first.<\/p>\n
