Yesterday\u2019s PlayStation Showcase <\/strong>definitely had some incredible features, most notable of which being Marvel\u2019s Spider-Man 2 <\/strong>gameplay, but it didn\u2019t exactly knock everyone\u2019s socks off.<\/p>\n

To PlayStation <\/strong>head Jim Ryan<\/strong> however, the showcase was an example of Sony\u2019s<\/strong> \u201cunwavering commitment to offering them [fans] the best and most varied catalog of games.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a press release following the showcase, Ryan spoke about what he believed the showcase achieved, and Sony\u2019s commitment going forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur fans expect and deserve a steady cadence of amazing content. Today\u2019s presentation demonstrates our unwavering commitment to offering them the best and most varied catalog of games possible.<\/p>\n

It also highlights the tremendous popularity and power of the PS5 as the global development community rallies to push its advanced capabilities to the limit.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re investing heavily in the future with innovative best-in-class hardware like PlayStation VR2 and the newly revealed Project Q, and our expansion into PC, Mobile, and Live Service gaming is transforming how and where our content can be enjoyed.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The PS5<\/strong> is doing incredibly well from a console sales perspective, though yesterday\u2019s showcase didn\u2019t give players much of a roadmap past this fall.<\/p>\n
