Activision continues to take action against Call of Duty modding community. The game publisher recently joined several others in the industry to stop modders from servicing older gamers. According to the latest information, Activision sent a Cease-and-Desist letter to a leading Modder in the Call of Duty community, X Labs. The developers took to Twitter to share the news on May 22, 2023.<\/p>\n

This latest development comes just a week after the company took a similar action against sm2 (sm\u00b2). It was a mod(ified) version of Call of Duty created by a small team of developers. The initial version of the mod was based on Modern Warfare 2 (2009) and it later shifted to Modern Warfare Remastered engine.
