Star Wars Jedi: Survivor<\/em> launches this week, and the hype for the release is definitely on. Just in, EA has dropped an ad for the game which has star Cameron Monaghan receiving Jedi training from Luke Skywalker himself Mark Hamill.<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/figure>\nPlaying as a Jedi may look easy, but in Motion Capture Session 386, Mark Hamill pops in to offer actor Cameron Monaghan some advice on his role as Jedi Cal Kestis in STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor. Wise words and questionable training methods from Mark will hopefully give Cameron the edge he needs as he continues his journey from STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order\u2122.<\/em><\/p>\nThe video essentially has Mark Hamill play the Yoda to Monaghan\u2019s Luke, and we have some references to Luke\u2019s training sessions in Empire Strikes Back<\/em>. I would have actually loved if we got some references to The Last Jedi<\/em>, but I guess that just invites a can of worms from anyone who can\u2019t shut up about the movie.<\/p>\nI guess it\u2019s also worth noting that they kind of did a \u2018Reverse Mark Hamill\u2019 when they cast Monaghan as Cal. Whereas Hamill played a Jedi then became Batman\u2019s archenemy the Joker; Monaghan was playing the Joker in Gotham <\/em>when he was cast to play a Jedi in Fallen Order<\/em>.<\/p>\nHere\u2019s the official description for the game:<\/p>\nThe story of Cal Kestis continues in STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor\u2122, an epic new adventure that will push Cal further than ever as he fights to protect the galaxy from descending into darkness.<\/em><\/p>\nPicking up five years after the events of STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order\u2122, Jedi: Survivor is a third person, narrative-driven action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games.
