The adventures on Aionios will be wrapping up sooner than we thought. Nintendo announced today that the fourth and final DLC in the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass\u2014Future Redeemed\u2014will be available for download April 25th.<\/p>\n

Set before the events of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (which Pure Nintendo rated 9 out of 10), Future Redeemed features new and familiar characters in an original story scenario that connects all three installments in the Xenoblade Chronicles series. Shulk? Rex? They\u2019re all grown up and ready to fight with new battle mechanics such as Unity Combo in which two characters can attack in unison.<\/p>\n

In Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Aionios is the backdrop to an endless conflict between two opposing nations: Keves and Agnus. Through a chance encounter, a group of six soldiers hailing from both rival nations resolve to put aside their differences and work together to expose a new threat \u2013 far greater than that of their ceaseless battle. Players can join Noah, Mio and their friends as they traverse epic landscapes, battle ferocious creatures and fight to break the never-ending cycle of violence that binds their homelands.<\/em><\/p>\n

Like in previous Xenoblade Chronicles games, battles start by facing enemies directly in the field. Players can control Noah\u2019s party of six and meet additional characters during the adventure who can join the party as support characters. Each fighter has their own role in battle, which allows for diverse strategies. Their class influences how characters battle, and they can harness powerful abilities, called Arts, to strive for victory. Each of the specific tag-team pairs in the party can also make use of the Interlink system and combine into a giant form called Ouroboros.<\/em><\/p>\n

There\u2019s more good news for Xenoblade Chronicles fans. We now have a release date\u2014July 21st\u2014for the previously announced\u00a0Pyra + Mythra 2-pack amiibo figures. Nintendo also announced how they can be used in XC3 (you know, for when it\u2019s time for that new game +):<\/p>\n

By scanning the Pyra amiibo in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, players can change the appearance of the sword for Noah\u2019s Swordfighter class to match Pyra\u2019s Aegis Sword. When scanning the Mythra amiibo in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, the sword for Noah\u2019s Swordfighter class will match Mythra\u2019s Aegis Sword. The Aegis sword weapon skins can be used by all players after meeting a condition with a Patch that will be released in the future.<\/em><\/p>\n

Pre-orders are not open in the U.S., but are available in other regions world. While you wait for that, you\u2019ll also be waiting for the\u00a0newly announced Noah and Mio amiibo figures. More on those to come.<\/p>\n
