Today Anchor and NextNinja have announced that their upcoming Muv-Luv mobile game\u00a0Muv-Luv Dimensions has passed a pre-registrations milestone.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to the announcement<\/a>, the game has now passed 100,000 pre-registrations, meaning that a collaboration with the beloved visual novel\u00a0Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien\u00a0<\/em>(which can be considered a sort of prequel to\u00a0Muv-Luv <\/em>and will get a new all-ages version soon pending the success of a crowdfunding campaign) has been unlocked.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The pre-registration campaign and rewards have been announced a couple of weeks ago\u00a0all the way up to 500,000 pre-registrations. You can pre-register\u00a0for iOS\u00a0and\u00a0Android\u00a0to help unlock the remaining rewards.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you don’t know\u00a0Muv-Luv Dimensions<\/em>, it’s a free-to-play mobile game for iOS and Android based on the popular\u00a0Muv-Luv\u00a0<\/em>visual novel series. It was originally released last year as\u00a0Muv-Luv Immortals,\u00a0<\/em>but it was affected by significant problems and immediately withdrawn. Publisher aNCHOR decided to completely overhaul the game bringing in seasoned mobile developer\u00a0NextNinja, which is now preparing for a full relaunch.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

For now, the game has been announced only for Japan. But hopefully, aNCHOR and NextNinja will release it in English as well down the line.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The franchise is widely considered one of the best (if not the best) visual novel series of all time (even\u00a0the AI of the new Bing agrees albeit it obviously can’t get past the PTSD) and one of the first isekai stories that made waves within Japanese pop culture when the genre wasn’t as oversaturated as it is now. It mixes a tragic and romantic story with one of the best and deepest sci-fi worlds ever written. It’s so influential that\u00a0Attack on Titan<\/em>\u00a0mangaka Hajime Isayama cited it multiple times as one of his main sources of inspiration.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Most\u00a0Muv-Luv<\/em>\u00a0visual novels are currently available in English\u00a0on Steam\u00a0(while\u00a0Muv-Luv\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Muv-Luv Alternative<\/em>\u00a0have also been released on PS Vita) alongside the early access action game\u00a0Project MIKHAIL: A Muv-Luv War Story.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
