Aside from an Attack On Titan crossover, the next Fortnite season is rumoured to debut an optional and long rumoured first person mode.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There has been talk of Fortnite getting a dedicated first person mode for years now. Fans have toyed with the idea as far back as 2018, with their own mods, but there’s never been anything official.<\/p>\n

As with most of Fortnite\u2019s future plans, evidence of an official first person mode was first discovered via datamining back in January, suggesting that its inclusion was imminent.<\/p>\n

Now, a well-known Fortnite leaker has claimed that the mode will arrive as part of the next season, which is expected to begin later this week.<\/p>\n

No specific date for Chapter 4 season 2 has been shared by Epic Games yet but with the current season wrapping up this Wednesday, March 8, it\u2019s safe to assume that the next season will kick off the next day.<\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s unclear whether the mode will be available from the offset or if it will be introduced partway through the season.<\/p>\n

Also, given the change in perspective, it\u2019s not known if first person and third person players will be kept separate or allowed to play against each other. After all, a first person mode limits your peripheral vision, which would put you at a disadvantage against someone playing in third person.<\/p>\n

The source of the claim, HYPEX on Twitter, has consistently shared accurate Fortnite leaks in the past and adds that at least three other Fortnite leakers have been told the exact same information.<\/p>\n

When asked if the first person mode will be forced on players, like the Zero Build mode (which removed Fortnite\u2019s building mechanics and proved to be popular enough to become a separate mode), HYPEX says<\/a> it\u2019ll most likely be an optional setting.<\/p>\n

This is because their source had shown them other leaked details that were displayed in the regular third person mode.<\/p>\n
