  Sony has announced a new collaborative initiative called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sie.com\/en\/blog\/introducing-playstation-playmakers-a-conversation-with-eric-lempel\/\">PlayStation PlayMakers<\/a>. The console giant will partner up with celebrity fans of the brand to \u201ccelebrate their passion for gaming and PlayStation\u201d\u00a0by creating unique experiences for players. One of those famous names is NBA superstar LeBron James, who helped design a limited-edition PlayStation 5\u00a0accessories.\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
The special console plates\u00a0and DualSense 5 controller were co-designed by James and will release in select countries. The hardware is\u00a0adorned with\u00a0artistic elements (including obligatory crowns)\u00a0and personal inspirational messages by LeBron. There\u2019s no word yet on the prices, but you can only pre-order these items through direct.playstation.com. sometime this year. Other big names involved with PlayStation PlayMakers include country music star Jimmie Allen, actor and comedian King Bach, and other professional athletes such as BMX\u2019s Nigel Sylvester, WNBA All-Rookie NaLyssa Smith, NFL stars Ja\u2019Marr Chase and CeeDee Lamb, French football freestyler Lisa Zimouche, and Belgian football star Romelu Lukaku. The initiative feels similar to McDonald\u2019s recent push of celebrity-branded menu items, so who knows what to expect from these names and others in the future.<\/p>\n
