Today third-party developers released new videos about aircraft coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator and new screenshots of upcoming airports.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We start with the Boeing 757, which received a very extensive video from its developer Blue Bird Simulations. We get the confirmation that the aircraft will come to the Xbox version of the simulator and it’s still on track for a release on PC around Q3 Q4 of 2023, likely closer to Q4. The Xbox version will come after the PC version.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The system complexity will focus on normal operations with an in-depth flight management system including support for VNAV, LNAV, SID, STAR, holding patterns, and more. Custom systems will include APU, electrical, pneumatic, cabin altitude, IRS, and more. Further simulation complexity will be added post-release.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The initial release version will include the passenger 757-200 and 300 with both PW and RR engines, with and without winglets. Wingtip scimitars may be added with a free update.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A cargo variant will be added as a payware add-on (to the add-on) after launch and will bring some improvements that will be retroactively implemented in the passenger package at no additional cost. Among these improvements is an additional version of the flight deck with the LCD screens. The initial release will only have the CRTs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sounds will be fully custom and recorded ad-hoc for this add-on.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The video also showcases a rather impressive demonstration of the work-in-progress VNAV (vertical navigation) system, which tends to be a very challenging feature to implement. It’s also worth mentioning that the flight deck itself is being reworked and the new version will be showcased in a few months.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Next,\u00a0iniBuilds released a video about its\u00a0Messerschmitt Bf 108 Taifun, showcasing all of its features and systems.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Moving on to airports, we take a look\u00a0at Timi\u0219oara Traian Vuia International Airport (LRTR) in Romania in development at MLD Scenery.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Next, new screenshots were revealed by Gate15Scenery of the upcoming Tokushima Awaodori Airport (RJOS) in Japan. Night-time textures have been added to the terminal albeit the developer says more tweaks are required.<\/p>\n

Last, but not least,\u00a0M’M Simulations released new images of its\u00a0Turku Airport (EFTU) in Finland. This one will be released this month.\u00a0<\/p>\n
