How house sorting works in Hogwarts Legacy<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Soon after the start of the game, you\u2019ll arrive at Hogwarts just in time for the Sorting<\/strong> Ceremony<\/strong>. There are two different ways you can be sorted into your house.<\/p>\n

You can either take a very short in-game quiz, or you can link your Harry Potter Fan Club and WB Games accounts for a more personal house selection. Whichever method you decide to use, you can influence the Sorting Hat\u2019s decision<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Once you arrive to the Sorting Ceremony after the tutorial, you\u2019ll sit at the front of the Great Hall, and Professor Weasley will place the Sorting Hat atop your head.<\/p>\n

From here, you\u2019ll be given two prompts where you must make a choice.<\/p>\n

  Next, the Sorting Hat says, \u201cHmm. I wonder. Hmm. I detect something in you. A certain sense of \u2014 hmm \u2014 what is it?\u201d<\/p>\n

  This question is the only<\/strong> question that will affect which house you\u2019re sorted into<\/strong>. Fans of the series might already know which option will lead to which house, but we\u2019ve placed the resulting house in parentheses just in case:<\/p>\n

  • Daring. (Gryffindor<\/strong>)<\/li>\n
  • Curiosity. (Ravenclaw<\/strong>)<\/li>\n
  • Loyalty. (Hufflepuff<\/strong>)<\/li>\n
  • Ambition. (Slytherin<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    If you\u2019re not happy with the house you\u2019ve been sorted into, you can choose whichever house you\u2019d like to join.<\/p>\n

    Note that if you have linked your accounts, you won\u2019t get this choice, since you will have done the quiz already. Instead, you\u2019ll only be given the \u201cstart classes\u201d\/\u201dexplore\u201d question, which has no bearing on the house sorting outcome.<\/p>\n

    Can you change your house in Hogwarts Legacy?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    If you\u2019re not happy with the house you\u2019ve been sorted into based on the quiz, you\u2019re given one more chance to select a house that you like<\/strong>. This decision is final<\/strong>, so make sure you\u2019re happy with it before continuing!<\/p>\n

    This is the same with your wand, once you reach that point in the story later.<\/p>\n

    House differences and limitations in Hogwarts Legacy<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    The house you\u2019re sorted into will change some things in Hogwarts Legacy<\/em>, but it will not change the overarching story. Your Hogwarts house will determine the following:<\/p>\n
