Final Fantasy VII Day has been officially registered by Square Enix<\/strong> with the Japan Anniversary Association, the studio announced on the 26th anniversary of the game\u2019s PSOne launch in Japan.<\/p>\n

The critically acclaimed JRPG was released on January 31, 1997 for Sony\u2019s original home console before rolling out in the US and Europe later that year. To celebrate the registration of Final Fantasy VII Day, the producer of the Final Fantasy VII Remake project, Yoshinori Kitase, commented:<\/p>\n

The 31st of January 1997, the day that Final Fantasy VII came out, was not just a significant day for the Final Fantasy series, but also marked when so many big things started moving for those of us who worked on the game.<\/p>\n

I remember being overwhelmed at the breakneck speed with which video game technology was evolving, but also dreaming big things for the future.<\/p>\n

With the establishment of this official anniversary day, I will now always remember these things, and hold them dearly in my heart.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
