We hate to kick off Monday morning with sad news but here we are. The Last of Us<\/strong> Tess actress\u00a0Annie Wersching has passed away at age of 45.\u00a0Wersching played Tess in the 2013 original release of The Last of Us, one of the only two video games she lent her voice and performance capture to.<\/p>\n In 2019,\u00a0Wersching was tapped to play\u00a0Tassyn in BioWare\u2019s Anthem. That would be her last video game appearance. The following year, she was diagnosed with cancer.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s a private person by nature, and the diagnosis made her even more so,\u201d reads a GoFundMe page set up for her young sons. \u201cShe wanted to protect her boys. She wanted to get better so she could continue working.\u201d<\/p>\n Naughty Dog took to Twitter to announce that the studio is \u201cdeeply saddened\u201d to hear of\u00a0Wersching\u2019s passing, and urged fans to donate to the GoFundMe campaign for her children.<\/p>\n We at Naughty Dog are deeply saddened to hear of Annie Wersching\u2019s passing.
