Forspoken<\/em> combat guide: How to keep your combo battle ranking score high<\/h2>\n

The combo battle ranking system in Forspoken<\/em> uses letters to grade you for your efforts, starting from E, the lowest, up to A, and then a star for the maximum threshold. The higher your current score, the more XP you\u2019ll earn when you defeat foes, which also speeds up your leveling to earn extra Mana. Likewise, your score also determines the drop rate multiplier, in case you need some extra materials from mobs.<\/p>\n

Here are some other tidbits:<\/p>\n

• You\u2019re graded based on your offensive and avoidance capabilities. That means pressing the attack by using various magic spells, as well as parkour skills to dodge attacks.<\/li>\n
• Additional technicalities are also considered, such as being able to hit multiple enemies at the same time, hitting an opponent from the back, using a support skill, using a Surge skill (i.e., burst\/ultimate), activating a Killing Blow, and more.<\/li>\n
• Similarly, casting spells in conjunction with parkour moves will also increase your score. For instance, holding the dodge button while moving sideways and firing projectiles will cause Frey to perform a somersault while shooting (which means extra points).<\/li>\n
• Be forewarned, however, that taking any instance of damage will cause the score threshold to get lowered, and an unlucky sequence could drop you from a star rating to E in a short span of time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  So, how exactly do you keep your combat battle ranking score high in Forspoken<\/em>? Well, the simplest answer is: don\u2019t get hit (but you already knew that). Still, you might have missed a particular setting in the options menu.<\/p>\n

  If you go to the Gameplay Balance panel, you\u2019ll notice the Auto-Evasion setting. If enabled, this allows Frey to automatically dodge any regular\/avoidable enemy attack (i.e., light blue flash). This includes multi-hit spells and barrages. You won\u2019t even need to do anything since this instantly triggers, keeping your character safe and preventing your score from dropping. The only abilities you need to worry about are area-of-effect (AoE casts) and those with red flashes, which denote that they can\u2019t be avoided at all.<\/p>\n
