Unfortunately, The Last of Us season 2 has not been confirmed by HBO or its showrunners Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin at this stage. <\/strong><\/p>\n

However, both Druckmann and Mazin have expressed a desire to continue the show beyond the first season<\/strong>. Additionally,<\/strong> its success makes a second season very likely.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Of course, season one isn\u2019t quite over yet, and there are still some episodes to go. So, make sure you know when each episode of The Last of Us airs, so you don\u2019t miss out.<\/p>\n

Both Mazin and Druckmann have stated that they don\u2019t want The Last of Us TV Show to span many seasons. Nevertheless, they said they could imagine doing future seasons that cover the events of the second game. <\/p>\n

Druckmann said in an interview with Collider that their approach to future seasons would be to have as many episodes as necessary but not go overboard.<\/p>\n

In that same interview, Mazin stated that adapting the second game would take more than one season. So, fans may have many more seasons of The Last of Us to look forward to.<\/p>\n

However, for those hoping it will last as long as Game of Thrones, you may want to temper your expectations. When talking to Consequence, Mazin stated that The Last of Us will not last six or seven seasons.<\/p>\n
