Third-party developers had news and releases of Microsoft Flight Simulator<\/em> add-on to share today, including aircraft, airports, and more.<\/p>\n

We start with DC Designs, which provided a new look at its F-4 Phantom and the cockpit of the freeware F\/A-18C Hornet.<\/p>\n

Speaking of the Phantom, animations for the control surface are being added and weathering layers are complete, albeit they have not yet been included in today’s screenshots. We’ll see them next week. The developer will focus on the smaller detail work next on top of adding the different nose and gear assembly for the F-4E. The last part of the work will be the addition of the\u00a0different FGR2 Spey engine exhausts and the additional elements in the tail of the British Phantoms.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The freeware\u00a0F\/A-18C is “almost complete and ready for release.”<\/p>\n

We also get a single render of the flight deck of the freeware Airbus A220 by Synaptic Simulations. This is the “improved, final iteration” and the developer has promised a livestream soon featuring the complete aircraft model and a preview of the avionics. You can follow the aircraft’s development on the dedicated Discord server.<\/p>\n

Moving on to airports, FeelThere announced Nashville International Airport (KBNA) in the United States.\u00a0<\/p>\n

  PilotPlus released\u00a0Swansea Airport (EGFH) in Wales, United Kingdom. While this is a smaller general aviation airport, it certainly appears to match the level of quality and detail that the developer is known for.<\/p>\n
